Welcome to Queen Bee Schools, District 16

The mission of Queen Bee Schools is to set high standards to ensure that all students learn, grow, and achieve.

Queen Bee School District 16 is one of two elementary (PreK-8) school districts located in Glendale Heights, Illinois. Glendale Heights, approximately 25 miles west of Chicago, is situated in Northwest Dupage County and Bloomingdale Township. It is governed by a Board of Education, whose seven members are elected by the citizens in the community. The Board meets monthly in open meeting sessions at the District Professional Development Center which is located in the rear lower level of Queen Bee School at 1525 Bloomingdale Road on dates publicized locally. The Dr. James White Administrative Center which houses the district’s central office, is located in the lower southeast end of Glenside Middle School. In addition to the Office of the Superintendent of Schools, the Instructional Services, Business, and Special Services Offices are located in the Administrative Center.

Student Records Disposal Article


In Illinois, no public record may be disposed of without the approval of the State of Illinois Records Commission. This includes temporary student records. Queen Bee School District filed a Records Disposal Certificate with the local records commission in Springfield, Illinois and the certificate was approved in December of 2016.

The district will be destroying student temporary records which may include any of the following:

  • Grade books
  • Attendance records
  • Lesson plans
  • Intelligence and aptitude test scores
  • Extracurricular activity records
  • Teacher notes
  • Disciplinary information
  • Special education files
  • Elementary state assessment test scores
